I must be from another planet..

So in this part of the country they just finished celebrating their beloved 'Carnaval'.
It's a 3-4 party with religious backgrounds. Now-a-days nobody really thinks about the religious meaning of the event, they just go out and get canned for a couple of days.
I'm not really into the whole things because of a couple of reasons:

- Music
I need music to party, that's just me. I can't do without music. And the fucked up shit that comes out of the speakers during this event is earblistering. It's just horrible.
Example:




- Intoxicated People
I don't mind having a drink, I actually enjoy having a drink. But the way people let themselves go during Carnaval is just so over the top. People are wasted at 11 o'clock in the morning.. Start doing things they normally don't do, which brings me to my next point.

- Who are you?
People you know by face or maybe even name that you normally don't talk to are now so happy to see you. Talk to you as if they always do when just last week you saw them and they didn't say shit.

- She's with me*
It's the drink and the aura surrounding the even that says, hook up with as many people as you can.. When you're in a relationship, having some drunk dude hanging in your girl's ear isn't the coolest thing to see. So you say something when his alcohol influenced mind starts to get too close, he flips cause he is (still) drunk and you end up in an arguement or fight (it doesn't even have to be cause of a girl, people just fight for no reason). NICE!

*I'm not that insecure dude checking on his girl every 5 minutes, I trust the person who I am in the relationship with, without that you haven't got anything. It's just these fucked up dudes that I don't trust. Frisky hands, lips etc.

Anyway, it's not all terrible of course. It's a chance to have fun, let your hair down and just go all out. If it was with different music, I would be out all 4 days. But this year I went 2 of the 4 days and it was cool. Saturday we went into Venlo to the Motown where they kept the music funky which I really appreciated. Then Sunday was in a smaller place and it was pure Carnaval music, that was a shame but it wasn't terrible. But I'm glad it's over..

Isn't the island amazing..?

Apart from the fact I'm English, which makes me an islandperson, I've found a love for another kind of island, Manhatten, translated into Sex and the City.

I know what you tough dudes are going to say but this is one of the best series ever. I started watching about 2½ years ago and I've been kinda hooked. As a matter of fact I'm in the finishing stages of the complete package.
But one of the things that I love about S&C is the location. I love the city, I'm a city person. You won't catch me living in one of these 'farmer' villages, EVER. I mean, look at the lifestyles. There is always something to do, it's near magnetic. In July/August I'm moving to Utrecht which is a step in the right direction, we'll see where it goes from there.

So someone asked me who my favorite character is in S&C and to be honest I couldn't really decide.
Miranda is great, because you can really trust her and she is very straight with you. If she doesn't like something she isn't afraid to say it.
Samantha, wow, Samantha, where to start LOL. As she would say, she is 'fabulous'. And her lifestyle is fantastic (sexual and non sexual).
Charlotte is the epidemy of a perfectionist. The perfect appartment, the perfect guy, the perfect first date, the perfect proposal, the perfect dress, the perfect marriage etc. etc. Plus I really enjoy her innocent role, especially in dialogue with Samantha (the teebag situation haha).
Carry is my least favorite te be honest, of course she's allright but I'm still looking for that thing that makes Carry special. Plus, I'm not a big fan of a. smokers (no offence, I just don't really understand. Call me Aidan :-P) b. cheating (offence intended). Sometimes her outfits are fantastic but sometimes the're kind of weird and off. Her shoe game is tight though.

Mix the 4 woman and I think you've found the perfect woman.

Abstract Thoughts

We're recording a couple of new tracks and one of them is called "it's
so absurd"

That got me thinking.. In a verse you can only put so much but really,
it's so damn absurd. Everything, the way we live and the things we are
able to feel.

I mean, a broken heart really feels like your heart is broken. The
emptyness inside is unbelievable. It's not even really a broken heart,
more like no heart at all. Something you always felt and was always
there now is gone. Vanished to a place unknown to us. The recycle bin
of feeling. I wish I could just right-click and restore files.

Where's what I felt? How can I get it back? Are things that happen
really meant to be?

No one ever has an answer because there is no one that actually knows
the true answer..

Valentines away

It's been a while, I've been busy..

Last couple of days I've been busy running around trying to find producers, spots to do shows etc so that's the reason for the lack of posts. Plus I haven't really been in a great vibe either. Got some things on my mind and soul which need some deep thought.

But anyway, I found a producer that I'm going to do some work with (www.myspace.com/greenbeats2009). I'm just hoping something takes off from that situation. I've also been busy creating my own myspace but it hasn't been easy (uploading errors, lagging computers etc) but we'll get there in the end.

My minds been somewhere else while this is a time I really need to focus. So here's to concentration..

Third Degree

The process has begun, the water has picked up wind and is starting to (s)wave.
Been to a couple places today to get my demo/EP/short mixtap out into the world. Obviously online but also on the analoge.

I just hope we can get something going. I know how these dudes are. They get a million demo's a day and most of them (like 98%) is GARBAGE! And it must be frustrating to have to go through all these motherfucking demo's of people who think they can actually produce music (or art, as I like to call it). The right person gotta find the right CD and we might get off to a right start. Otherwise it's just gonna be the long hard but oh so beautiful road of music. No end in sight, just the amazing ride of every kick, drum, snare, hihat, base, letter, word, sentence and verse.

For those who don't know, the beef between 50 Cent and Rick Ross has erupted. It is starting to get heated. Rick Ross took a jab at 50 on "Maffia Music", then 50 hit back with "Officer Ricky Try Me", the "Officer Ricky Cartoon" and then the "Warning Shot" videomessage.
Now it's been taken to a whole new level with 50 inviting Ricky's baby's mama to share her story (not a good look for Ricky) and take her and her girlfriend shopping LMAO. It's just insane.
